This Yoruba wood statues was bought in Oshogbo near Suszanne Wenger's house in Oshogbo, Nigeria in 1974. It is the smaller one in the picture, The person or spirit seems to be riding a goat.
Suzanne Wenger was an Austrian artist who became enamoured
with the Yoruba religion. She was an amazing scupltress and made a pantheon of Yorbua gods in a garden plus many spectacular
scultures in Oshagbo.
